OUR WORLDSCHOOLING ADVENTURE BEGINS
Trading careers for curiosity; classrooms for the open road. Here is how we weave learning into our 500-day global journey.
Our hope for our children is simple: that learning feels woven into everyday life, not set apart from it. We want each day to feel like an adventure sparked by curiosity, fueled by play, and grounded in hands-on experiences. Through questions, exploration, and creating things together, we expect that reading, numbers, science, and physical activity naturally become part of our daily rhythm.

Shared Discovery: The World as a Classroom
Travel has transformed learning into something we genuinely share as a family. We have found that the most profound education happens in the “side-by-side” moments—researching the history and landscapes of a new region before we arrive, or decoding the symbols woven into a temple’s architecture together.
By exploring the cultural practices and stories that shape a place, we provide our children with familiar reference points before they even step out of the car. As we encounter new scenes, we research them in real-time, giving us the language and context for what unfolds outside the window as the landscape changes around us.
One of the greatest surprises in this journey has been how much we are learning, too. We never expected to feel such confidence in understanding complex history or making sense of global geography in such meaningful detail. Learning side-by-side has turned each place into more than a destination; it has become a shared discovery.
The Reality of the Road
This shift does take effort. Being this intentional requires more mental energy than it will in the future, especially while balancing engagement with the kids with ten-hour workdays. Much of this planning and awareness is happening in limited pockets of time, which can feel overwhelming after a stressful day.
Travel brings constant change: new places, shifting routines, and fluctuating energy levels. Some weeks feel full and vibrant; others slower and quieter. Rather than seeing this as disruption, we’re choosing to see adaptability itself as part of the learning. Navigating new rhythms, adjusting expectations, and finding motivation within change are valuable skills in their own right.
