MEET THE TOUCH GRASS TOUR FAMILY

A twenty-year journey around the world. Three kids. No plans to slow down.

Our adventure began in Hamburg. We were study abroad students: I came from New York, Kat from New Zealand. Our second date was a spur-of-the-moment budget flight to Casablanca. The pattern for the rest of our lives had been set.

Over the next twenty years, work took us around the world. Kids followed, each of them born on a different continent. Friends and family predicted we’d finally hang up our shoes. We didn’t.

Far from slowing us down, the kids have added new joy to ever trip.  Showing them the world, teaching them what we’ve learned, and equipping them to navigate it themselves one day — that is the heart of our Touch Grass Tour.

How We Travel, and Why

Our approach to travel is shaped by years of experience on the road. These are the principles that guide the way we explore, learn, and share the world.

Mission

To share the world as we’ve lived it. We provide the practical blueprints and unfiltered dispatches that help families move beyond the typical tourist circuit to explore deeply, travel wisely, and sustain a life in motion.

Vision

To prove that meaningful, long-term travel is possible for families. We aim to inspire a new way of seeing the world, and more importantly, to provide the step-by-step transparency required to show you exactly how to do it.

Values

All content here is, and always will be, authentic. We prioritize utility over aesthetics, valuing real-world logistics, intentional worldschooling, and the honest reality of the road over the curated “highlight reel” of travel.
